Nikki Ragush, BA, Completing Master's in Counselling at Yorkville University

Nikki was born and raised in Brandon, MB, and will complete her Master's in Professional Counseling and CCC through Yorkville University in May 2025. She has been interested in psychology since high school and is excited to pursue her love for helping people through the counselling field. She believes that health must encompass all areas of one’s life, including social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

She has had the opportunity to work with youth for the past twelve years and has helped youth and their families navigate the changes that occur from as young as eleven years old through adulthood. She has specifically worked in a church context and is comfortable integrating spirituality within the counselling sessions, no matter one’s belief systems and values.

Nikki is eagerly looking forward to her role in the counselling field, where she can provide support to individuals in navigating life's challenges and help them thrive in difficult situations. Her approach is client-centered, emphasizing collaboration and the client's autonomy to recognize their strengths and be empowered through their counselling sessions. She firmly believes that prioritizing mental health can lead to personal growth in various aspects of life. Outside of work, Nikki enjoys coaching and playing soccer, caring for her foster cats, and cooking.

Nikki is growing within the area of counselling and continues to take additional training to enhance her specializations.
